Cherry Hill, NJ. (January 16, 2018)

The Billy Walker Jr. Foundation continued their support of the Plumstead Police Explorers Post 5708 with a grant to purchase cadet training equipment. Cadets will receive authentic police gear used for making arrests and maintaining community safety. This marks the 3rd straight year the foundation has supported the Explorers Post. Plumstead Township resident and president of The Billy Walker Jr. Foundation, Mike Walker, said the foundation looks forward to watching the cadets move onto careers as first responders. “The primary mission of our foundation is to support aspiring first responders and we couldn’t be happier with the progress of the Plumstead cadets”, stated Mr. Walker.  “These cadets are dedicated to serving their communities and should be proud of their commitment to the Post.”

The Plumstead Township Police Department Explorer’s Post 57-08 was established on November 3, 2013. The Law Enforcement Explorers program is designed to help young adults of the Central Bucks Communities to make a more informed decision about future careers and determine if a particular career is right for them.
